Various musical forces combined to create “swiTCH”, a hip hop-infused new house banger by Berlin-based DJ & artist Stimulus. Featuring Greg Paulus, Malik Work, and Taylor Bense, it the musician’s first release of 2025.
“swiTCH” is a bass-driven track with jazzy trumpets that elevate its soulful vibe. The song is capped off smooth rap verses.
“The lyrics talk about the difference between real life (irl) and it’s digital representation on social media platforms that’s extremely influenced by algorithms. We want to remind people to trust themselves and each other more than they trust algorithms. We also want to remind people it’s ok to keep parts of your life private and/or off of digital platforms,” says Stimulus, who adds that they went with a sound that combines parts of Brooklyn and Berlin.
