Melbourne-based Australian singer-songwriter Laura Adeline is a perfect blend of style and substance. Essentially, her songs are a collection of relatable stories delivered over intoxicating rhythms.
Last year, the Perth-born artist caught the attention of many with her “Curbside” single. Well, she is back again with another lovely piece, “501s”. With this one, she presents listeners with a groove-laden blend of R&B and indie-pop.
“501s” captures the feeling of seeing someone and immediately imagining a lifetime with them. Laura’s confessional lyrics are delivered effortlessly, unlike her nervous attempts to tell her love interest how she truly feels.
“Writing 501s wasn’t like another song I’d written before – I did it with a vendetta“, she explains. “Sometimes the moment gets the best of me and I can’t express what I want to in a conversation, and the only passage for me is to put it into my art, it’s the best way I know how.”
This vibey song has become a fan-favourite Adeline whenever Adeline is performing live. Understandably so!
