19-year-old soulful artist Kaelynn Hayes made her debut late last year, immediately capturing the attention of listeners and industry people alike.
Having already shown us what she is capable of vocally, the Chicago-native singer-songwriter returns with a lyrically gripping piece named “rethink us”. Compared to the debut single, “kind regards”, the new track is less stripped-down; it blends thoughtful lyrics with piano-guided pop production to create a marvellous and emotional engaging piece.
“I wrote this song about how I overthink even the littlest things too much,” Kaelynn opens up. “I doubt myself in relationships, both platonic and romantic, and it makes me think that people will abandon me, but the issues that I see as problematic are usually not seen that way by others in my life.“
Talented, and having gone through proper development, I believe this young singer has all it takes to reach the top.
