The time I spent listening to The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep, the new EP by American indie artist Love Spells, was possibly the best 21 minutes of my life. Maybe, it’s because I was eagerly waiting for this project, having been mesmerized by singles like “With Only Your Mouth” and “Lovers Only“.
The EP arrived with a cinematic music video for the dreamy focus track, “Bones And All”. Inspired a film of the same title, the song is beautiful indeed.
“I made ‘Bones And All’ to reflect one of my favorite movies of all time. It resonates so deeply with me because I see in it tones of an eventual all-consuming love and devotion like no other,” says the Houston native.
Throughout the 6-track project, listeners are kept captivated by Love Spells’ ethereal soundscapes, each song as mesmeric as the next.
