I recently stumbled upon this song “A Day” by singer Travis Hall. The jazz-inflected R&B/soul jam was independently released by the Atlanta-based artist. It gives us a taste of his upcoming album, HeART Museum, which is set be released on October 14th.
“I feel like this album is my first child. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I labored for this,” says Travis, who has roots in opera and classical music.
He adds, “I was in the classical department writing an R&B album. I ended up denying almost every operatic role they offered me. I came to school with a singular focus: An R&B album made with human musicians.”
