Sophia Warren is a burgeoning American artist from Austin, Texas.
The singer-songwriter announced her next EP titled Adesso last week with unveiling of a new single, “Static” (Adesso is billed as the second instalment in her trilogy of EPs that started with last year’s Bloodstone).
Covered in a lovely dream-pop soundscape, “Static” is a truly mesmeric track. It is about moving forward, unburdened by the past.
“This song isn’t about forgetting. It’s about survival. About letting some things blur, accepting that the past will always shift in our minds, and maybe that’s okay. Maybe some things aren’t meant to be replayed forever,” Sophia Warren explains.
